A few Words about Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki is the second-largest city of Greece, located in the northern part of the country. Its southern bound is the Thermaic Gulf and its northern bound is Mount Chortiatis. The Thessaloniki Metropolitan area has a population of approximately one million inhabitants. The city has a long history of arts, and culture dating back to 315 BC. It is renowned for its festivals and cultural life, hosting major events such as the International Fair Trade and the International Film Festival. A large variety of churches, museums and historical monuments are located in the city.
